Sad, Sad Samsung
This little Samsung UN32J525DAFXZA made it to the roadside in less than TWO YEARS after leaving the factory. Problem: vertical lines, bad TCon board.
Most likely its former owner will not buy another Samsung. And I'd be reluctant to put another TCon board in since it might fail early also. Sad, sad Samsung.

2 years.. that's a shame. Can't you find a board cheap on ebay ?
My 2009 19" Samsung I paid over $300 for then that I use on my music system keeps on truckin'... |

Probably paid $130 for it new. People were paying $130 (in 1990's money) to repair a 27" TV in hopes of getting a few more years out of it.

That's not a bad TCON, that's a bad display. Remove one ribbon from the TCON to the display and run it with half a pic. If the picture is good, the disconnected side is bad. If it's the same, reconnect the ribbon and remove the other side.
If you can get half a good pic, let me know. There's a trick to "fixing" those. John |

Thanks John, I'll try that.

If either ribbon is disconnected, it will not make an image.
Must be an interlock circuit in there. I've got a UN40H5203, that I DO believe has a bad panel, that I can try to sub the TCon board from. Might not be a bad idea to pull the bezel and see if something got spilled in there, because these Samsungs have the panel connections on the bottom.
