August 1984 Panasonic 36" projection set for $10!
Picked this up yesterday for $10. They originally had $65 on it. I found it day before yesterday and decided to go back for it. Works like new too. I'm thinking on setting it up with all my older stuff, ced movies, top loading 1978 select a vision vcr, atari, etc.

We need some more pictures of that bad boy! Not sure I've ever seen one, for all the drawbacks rear projection brings it hardly seems worth it for a 36" picture.

Actually, I don't recall any 36" crt set during that time, so this was probably the first 36" anything. 36" tube sets wouldn't be around for a few more years. I simply had to have this for its retro factor.

First I feel the pain in your back Pac.secondly I'm glad that you grab the set.I remember Mitsubishi had a couple 35 " inch models in the same era since I pick up and deliver a few for my friends shop then.

They only had to pay you $10 to take it away?

Got some pics of it. Not the best I've ever took but at least you can see it works. Model CT-3700. Chassis MNX-Q21.

Love those early OSDs. Thanks for the pics! Looks like it still has a nice picture.

You should see it now. Had a chance the other day to open it up and polish the mirrors. They were completely fogged. Almost solid white. There's even a non - glass mirror made by a company which says aerospace on it.

Ahh memories. My first "big screen" was a Sylvania SuperScreen... I wanna say it was like 46" or something. That sucker was like moving a piano, lol.
But I played many'a game on that old beast. I wonder what became of it. I sold it to a friend probably 15 years ago. Can we see a pic of the whole cabinet? |

Hope this helps. Since I cleaned it, I wheeled it into the other room as I don't have room in the living room right now. Once the Christmas tree comes down, I may bring it back in.
