This is a good movie but I'm posting about it because you get to see older Tv sets in it one might be a philco the other in the start of the movie is in a hotel lobby a d the picture isn't right it has a gap at the bottom and I thought if it was a tube why not replace it for the movie. Was probably part of the actual hotel and it ran that way anyway but hey fix the darn thing.

I think a detail like the short vertical was likely considered unimportant. I remember odd vertical shape as very common. I think dan akroyd said he got idea for coneheads from a tv that had stretched heads from vertical issue.
