Picked this book up yesterday

My friend that owns a pawn shop bought out several TV shops in the 70's and acquired a lot of tubes(about 20K) books NOS parts etc. It's in a dark basement that smells of coal. He had put a couple of books aside for me. Thought this was interesting since it is from 1956. Nice color pictures. It explains problems and repair procedures adjustments and theory of operation.

Very nice!
I've got too many books around here already, and I keep acquiring more-I never found one book that could teach everything.
May want to tell your friend to move some of the stuff out of that basement-especially paper/metal products.

Philco 1957 Telaide

This is a good mate to your Philco book. It has the TV123 included, which seems to be an RCA CTC4 or 5. I can scan the entire book once I get organized.Attachment 173103

I'm slowly removing stuff I want. there is 2 NOS(not rebuilt) Zenith 23V Chromacolor CRT's down there, A few late 40's TV's, a bunch of old radios, some NOS TV parts, every Sams you can imagine, about 20K NOS tubes and about 5K used tubes, lots of books and manuals, tons of test equipment. It's so packed, it's somewhat overwhelming.

Please save those Chromacolor CRTs! I run a CCI set as my daily driver and it produces a GREAT picture. These are wonderful CRTs and should be preserved.
