Eico 147A screw size question
I need to replace the screws that fasten the front plate to the enclosure.
After looking through the manual, the parts list does list a bunch of screw types like #6-32 X 1/4. However, the screws I need are listed as #6 P.K. I have no idea what "P.K." means. Does anyone know what #6 P.K. means? Thanks, Tony |

This is a self tapping sheet metal screw. The "PK" comes from Parker Kalon, the original manufacturer.

It's strange that they list the screw sizes for all the other screws but for these 9 screws the manual only shows P.K. instead of the actual screw size. Anyway, appreciate the answer. |

#6 designates the diameter of the screw shank. Since they only hold the front panel the length and threads per inch isn't too critical. Simply try some #6 sheet metal screws long enough to go through both the front panel and into the cabinet.

Yeah, I know. Thanks for your input however. I was mainly curious about the "P.K." designation as I have never seen that before. So now I know that is/was a manufacturer and it denotes a self tapping type of screw.
