Can someone give me some info on this '60's Zenith?
I know this is a solid state Zenith AM/FM from the '60's(?). Does anyone know if this radio uses a printed circuit chassis or is it one of Zenith's earlier solid state table radios with a steel chassis and plug in transistors? The seller does not know the model or chassis number and I'd like some input from someone more "in the know" about '60's Zenith's before bidding on it.
I have been trying to find one of the early AC only solid state Zenith radios with the all steel chassis. My mission is proving to be more difficult than I expected. I do have a Sams covering a Zenith model N890A/B (chassis 8NT21) that uses a handwired steel chassis w/ plug in transistors. I don't know of any other models with such a chassis. |

I have a similar radio with the same cabinet, but it is the clock radio version with a clock to the left of the dial. I'm not sure if it is the same chassis, but the one I have has a steel chassis and a printed circuit board. The model is Z470L1.
