I tried it back in '70 during a particularly nasty storm. We had an aerial on a 30' tower back then...and sure enough....the screen went white on Channel 2 and there WAS a twister in the area! I later told my friends parents about it, but they were on cable, so it didn't apply for them.

If the tv is gone, or seen flying away at a hundred miles per hour, there's a tornado.

I have a tornado video showing a tornado hiting a lake home. They had, what looks like a Zenith 19" E,F orG series modular set, the heavy beast.
All the windows were blown out but the set didn't move an inch.

Its that resonating, regulating, boat anchor of a power transformer, like the Dumont RA-109 had, never saw one of those fly either
