Remember Radio News Vans?
WFIL 560 was Philly's music and news station back in the good old days till the late 80s. It had excellent daytime coverage reaching out 60 miles back when transmitter tower ground-planes were maintained.
WFIL.jpg.jpg WFIL's van is at an event in the mid-60s is none other than TV personality Chief Halftown (full-blood Seneca native and champion bowler) who had a long-running children's show on WFIL TV (later WPVI).
