Possibe Sony Indextron for $60.00

Go to ebay and search for, ACTION MINI COLOR TV. It is installed for airports, hotels, etc. I can see that is is a 5 inch Sony with a flat crt screen, it looks like an Indextron. I can not find the item number but will keep trying. Last time I saw an Indextron it was around $700.00

What makes you think it's an indextron? I would doubt it on general principle that the pay TV maker would want a more common set for easy swap out of failures.

The TV in that unit is branded either GE or RCA. it is a color portable that was sold in the '90s. They came in either black or white cabinets and were even sold under one of Radio Shack's brand names. It is not a bad set, just not anything rare or special.

The TV is branded ACTION, just like the auction title says. You can read the bottom of the lettering at the top left of the picture tube in the first picture.

The TV looks like one of those cheap jellybean imports stuck in a metal cabinet, I'm not even certain it's color but there is a small notch in the bottom of the CRT mask that makes me think it is, same as this cheapie Jensen branded Color set.

The TV is ACTION brand as the listing title states, and it is definitely color, as the listing title also clearly states.

Look at the first picture in the listing. The bottom of the brand letters are visible to the top left of the CRT, matching the same ACTION letters (placed below the CRT) on this model: https://www.auctacity.com/hosted-ima...3-1/?limit=400

And the red/green/blue color dots are visible at the top right of the CRT in the first picture in the eBay listing, indicating that it is a color set.

You are right about the brand. I did not see the lettering at the top of the set. It is the same set that was sold under GE, RCA Radio Shack and who knows whatever label. It is a little better quality than the jelly bean sets but definitely at the end of the good portable TV era. I can't find any new portables that are decent quality but that is a subject for another thread.

I see the dots now, they mimic the color dots on the Trinitron so I can see how it could be confusing.

I was the seller that sold the $700 Sony Indextron TV to a buyer in Germany 2 years ago, and this is the same TV that our fellow here Andy Cuffe (Andy) repaired it for me.

The Action mini TV you're describing is NOT an Indextron, as it doesn't have a clear plastic cover at the front.
