Toshiba 27AF44 - Jitter/Interference
Hello,
I picked up a used Toshiba 27af44 from craigslist and I noticed that it has this "jitter" interference on the screen. It happens on all inputs and I tried an SNES and a PS2 and they both showed the same type of jitter. What could be the cause of this? Here are a few videos of the problem. It was kinda hard to capture with my phone camera but hopefully it will give you some idea of what the issue is. thanks. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Rt...VngN1PzEyVjYKa https://drive.google.com/open?id=1s_...iGyV8cC3AFByWv |

Most likely the power supply isnt regulating its pretty subtle
so wont be easy to find. A photo of the back or the chassis would help as Toshiba went from building there own to having Orion A.K.A. Emerson build them. Also if it has a chassis number post that, format is TAC-#### Good Luck 73 Zeno LFOD ! |

That model has a number of small capacitors in the power supply. I've seen a lot of strange problems when one or more open.

Here is a picture of the back:
I had a feeling it might be capacitor related. Do you guys thinking recapping will fix it? I'd like to keep this TV, it'd be great for my retrogaming setup. Other than a slight tilt, it has the best geometry I've seen from a consumer level flat CRT, and I've had a few in my time... |

I have an older Toshiba 19" table model ca 1990, assembled in USA that has an RCA CRT and a Gold Star chassis. |
