1961 Zenith 16G27
I'm looking for the service information for this set. Either the Zenith schematic or the sams (551-2) would be good. I really just need a schematic and the parts list, if anybody could get me a copy or just scan it that would be great. Thanks.

I went to the big downtown LA public library to make a copy of this, only to have the librarian tell me when I got there that they were putting sams up on the internet and I could have saved myself the trip. But I copied it anyway, along with a few others, since I was there. Free .pdf's of sams on the internet is a great thing, the only downside is you need an LA public library card to get to them, and they don't have them all up yet.

According to their web page: "Library Cards are free! There are no residency requirements!" http://www.lapl.org/about/borrower.html
The sams are under the 'databases' link on the left of the page. |

What they have and what they don't is a bit random. They didn't seem to start at either the beginning or the end, so they do have some of the older ones, for example they have the ctc-15, but not the ctc-38. They say they will eventually have all of them, and they list all of them like they have them, so you don't know if it's there or not until you look a particular one up. They are scanning the whole folders, but the quality isn't that great, you can still get better quality making copies yourself. I cut this example smaller, rather than shrinking it to fit, so you can get an idea of what they look like. Up in the Bay area, the Pleasant Hill public library has a complete set of sams that you can go in and copy, that's where I used to get them when I was in Berkeley.
