ew, a flat panel! (just kidding!)

So, Steve D., do you normally run the 15GP22 set on rare occasions such as Thanksgiving, or does it get used more often? It looks superb but I'd be inclined personally to hardly ever use the thing! It is of course a gem in the world of antique television.

Usually run it for The Macy's Parade, Rose Parade and sports events. Not a daily watcher but you have to power these beasts up every now and then to keep the electronics from going south on you. I also run my 1956 RCA CTC-5 Wingate on the same schedule.

Etype2,

Thanks for the reply. I believe I contacted you some time back to compliment you on your terrific micro-tv site. This after I added to my much smaller collection of micro sets including a then recently purchased Sony Model 5-303W
for $5.00 at my local Goodwill Store.

Steve

Nice set. Was the second Sony b&w. Yes I remember.

I live very close to the original Sun City (established in 1962) and Sun City West which are very large retirement communities in Arizona. Estate and garage sale every day and no luck finding a CT 100 or anything close.

Etype2,

Not sure that folks at retirement communities would have hung on to their early color tv's and then transport those large heavy sets as they downsized to smaller condos ect. But you never know what's hidden away in someone's storage locker ect. Keep checking those estate & garage sales.

Best,
-Steve D.

Very few condos in these communities. Mid to large homes up to 4500 sq. ft. Lots of original owners from 1962 and later. We are talking aprox 55K population. Folks from over the country retired here. Me thinks there should be some nice sets to find. Found a Philco Predicta here.
