Sony TR - 820

Bought this transistor radio at a garage sale here some years ago, and it's always worked fine, with no need for replacement of any components.

Many web searches have failed to reveal any details, and I'd be interested to find out about when it was made.

The interesting thing about it is that it has a provenance - the original owner has two addresses written in the case, one locally in Everard Park (suburban Adelaide, South Australia) , and another "c/o Mrs Sherman Eddy, of Jacksonville, Florida"! Googling both addresses reveals that the local property has gone, but the one in USA is still in existence.

This must be a fairly well-travelled radio, and having MW and shortwave (but no FM) meant it would have been very useful to its original owner, who obviously used it in both hemispheres.

I's guess it's later 60s, but others may know better, and I hope to hear.

Cheers, Alan
