Question Poll, TV people I need your input!

Tha Kamameister is proposing a few changes to AK to smoothen things up a bit and has asked me if we would be interested in splitting the Vintage TV forum to cover two separate sub- forums, one to deal exclusively with vintage B&W TV and the other to deal exclusively with early Color TV.

Our two major threads "Show Us Your Vintage B&W TV's" and "Show Us Your Vintage Color TV's" have both been highly successful, and to a certain extent have attracted their own core interest groups beyond those of us that participate in both. Would setting up two camps in the Vintage TV section be helpful in attracting and keeping track of new posts and more activity? Would there be any downsides?

Please let's hear your opinions on this matter with some discussion. Please also vote in the provided poll. I'll go along with whatever you the subscribers want to do.

If we split I will happily continue to be moderator of the Vintage TV forums.

Your tireless (ha!) and committed moderator,
Rob

Good Idea

Rob, I think that might be a good idea. There are a lot of posts relating to color sets and it would be great to have them all nice and neat under one heading.

I for one am a very happy camper here at AK, this is a very lively forum with many enthusiastic participants.

This has become my primary destination on the Internet, right after eBay of course

Thank you and Tim for all the hard work!

Eric

poll

Hi Rob,
While I am interested in vintage television in general, my primary interest is early color tv. I would like to see a forum site dedicated to vintage round tube color sets. And if some one wants to include their 22" Westinghouse rectangular color set, that would be just great with me.

I've added two forums to the scope of Vintage TV, and have transferred posts accordingly. I think this will work out extremely well! We can always modify things at any point, expanding or recondensing the forums as needed.

Splitting works fine by me, I would look at both anyway but it helps organize things.
