Philco Vacuum Tube Multi-Meter

My brother sent me this for my birthday. It is huge! Anybody have any info on this?

Well they made talking book players for the blind...I guess this must be a VTVM for the near blind.

That's funny. At first thought my brother was playing a joke on me by making a huge meter. Then I realized the meter is for reals.

Pretty big indeed. Not quite as big as the old Hickok 209, 209As'. Simple design almost looks like a kit. Hey, if it works then you have a good VTVM which is still of great use in vintage equipment diagnosis.
