Old CRT does nothing
its a provision TV DVD 140PSG and the production date is 09/2005 (its PAL btw)
It's turning "on" on meaning that the little LED comes on thats on the front thats about all it does. nothing explodes (lucky me) i was thinking it might be the flyback transformer so i asked around on r/askelectronics (link to post https://www.reddit.com/r/AskElectron...kus/?context=3), they said to ask on r/crt, which i did here (https://www.reddit.com/r/crt/comment...a49/?context=3) and they told me to come here and ask around! |

If you happen to have an oscilloscope with a built-in calibration osc you can use that to ring the yoke and flyback to test them for shorted windings.

I would make a visual inspection first. Plug it in and check for DC across the big filter capacitor. Unplug it and check your horizontal output transistor.
