Zenith 29JC20Q needs a home

A guy here in Texas has recently emailed me about some roundies he has. He needs to get rid of one... his Zenith 29JC20Q with Space Command. I do not think he has the remote as he never made any mention of it. Apparently, he has lost interest in the set and needs to make room. The way he was talking was that he wants someone to take it so that he won't have to put it out on the side of the road.

This set is identical to the one I have. I was thinking of going to get it myself, but, I really don't have the room for another big nasty right now. If no one else is interested, I guess I'll go get it.

As far as the set, he says the CRT won't light up, and he has no idea where to start. It seems this guy works on stuff like AM radios and record players from the 50's. He says he has no TV knowledge. The cabinet has one big spot on top. He think the previous owner probably had a pot plant on top of it.

The set is located in DeSoto, TX... just south of Dallas. Speak up if you're interested.

I would like to have it.

Is anyone from texas heading up this way, for the AKfest, that could give that set a ride for me? If so, I would gladly take in that set!!

That's a very nice looking set. I'd love to have it too, I've been hunting for a roundie for a while now. But... it's in Texas... A little too far to drive to pick up a television, I'm afraid. I'm in New York, so it would probably take a good two or three days just to get there. I hope this finds a home!

I'd give it a good home too (and even trade for a nice cat ) but the drive from Texas makes it out-of-the-question.

1) too far away
2) have never restored one, don't know if I'd be able to devote the time
3) especially would need pointers on fixing the cataracts
4) no room, with the rectangular-tube Magnavox now in the LR

but ooh! that would look good with the LR furniture!

Hope it goes ot a good home!

Man, that's great! Nothin better than a roundie CRT that checks good! Hopefully it won't take much to get the set going.
