An Aeriola Sr. joins the collection

When I first got into 1920's radios a few years ago, this solid little set was what I had in mind. My friend finally offered this nice example for sale and I grabbed it. It's a 1923 late model version with the bakelite control panel and mahogany cabinet. Best part is that it has a good correct WD-11 brass-based tube installed! I'm using it with care. It was expected that RCA was going to use the Aeriola name, a name chosen from Westinghouse employees suggestions, but RCA ultimately went with the Radiola name.

I'm using it with my home AM transmitter with good results through my Trimm headphones. These sets have such a bare-bones simple chassis that there literally is nothing that can fail!
