Scored a cool vintage TV cart
I've seen this at the flea mall recently, but they always wanted too much for it. I got lucky today, I went to check to see if my cart was still there, and it was! And the entire booth was marked down 50%! It got it for $17.50. Instead of the $35 they wanted. I have the 1977 RCA Colortrak on it now, but I really want a 19" Sylvania tube color set to put on it. I only have one Sylvania set, and it's solid state, inline gun.

I used to have one nearly identical to that for my Quasar! (by Motorola...) Great catch!

Thanks! I would put my 1979 [Matsushita] Quasar on there, but it's inaccessible.

It looks nice. I have a 1967 Motorola record player stand similar to that with the record player.

That looks familiar. I wonder if it's the same one that was used for a home observation trial when I was at Motorola? Sylvania had developed a thicker phosphor slurry that gave a brighter picture, and Motorola attempted to follow their lead. But there was a problem, in that the thicker slurry could leave swirl marks in the screen. Engineering staff was given two identical 19 inch sets with carts, the only difference being the CRTs with old phosphor or new, and we had to get family comments on any differences they could see during several weeks of use, without prompting them for answers. So, for a while, we watched every program on two sets at once.
