Found a BT Modulator at Goodwill!

Got this for $10 at the local goodwill.
It's an MAVM 861, it apparently is not "Agile" even though it has the dip switches for frequency it outputs through an outboard (but attached to the faceplate) module that only outputs one channel, in this case Ch10.

At first I couldn't get a thing out of it, then I realized it was missing the jumper cable from i.f. output to i.f. input, hooked that up and it came to life.

The range seems good, the Mods in a back bedroom and it's playing Friends on my 57 Philco in the Kitchen.

The nice thing about it is it's only about 5 or six inches deep compared to the 15" or so with the AM series.

Kewl...Wonder how in the world it ended up THERE ?!? Sometimes, I REALLY DO WISH our gear could "Talk"...How DID my R-389 get that Terrible "Whanged" place on its backside ? How did my 1955 Collins R-390A last all those years in such pristine condition ? Was it in some general's office at Wright-Pat, as we suspect ? Where did my '35 RCA AR-60 spend its days ? What wonderful/TERRIBLE things did my radios "Hear" down thru the years ?
