what does it mean if a 1951 admiral has retrace lines that wont go away? bad caps?

No need to post a question in every TV forum, must all of us read all the TV forums, so most all of us will see it no matter which forum you post it in. Just pick the forum that most closely matches the type of TV the question is about.

Though bananas don't really make sense here, I wanted to add a few anyway

be carful people are getting mad over to many bananas they made a whole fourm over it, so i stoped.

Ask them what kind of DTV convertor they're using. If it's a Magnavox, they don't seem to work well with some older sets and some newer ones. Always a problem with low audio, no matter what you do, to try to correct it.
