Question for those in Southern California
Where can a person go to a retail store and buy a pocket radio, or portable radio without resorting to ordering online? I'm here a while and miss the radio... with Radio Shack and Fry's gone, and Target, Walmart totally out of stock, I'm a bit lost about where to look.

Best Buy? Otherwise maybe Walgreens or CVS.

Best Buy is probably a good place to look. It is necessary to inform you that portable radios are known to the state of California to cause cancer so they have most likely been banned.

All of the above out of stock! Best buy has an open box insignia HD radio for $60, and one Sony clock radio. Walgreens had a few clock radios too but no portable radios. It's amazing how picked over everything is lately, lots of items out of stock. O saw the cancer warning on coffee today at dunkin' donuts!

Found one at CVS. A CRAIG. Runs on two C cells which cost almost as much as the radio. It has a 4" speaker, and slide rule tuning. I actually really like it, it sounds good, is sensitive, resists interference extremely well on AM, and no recap required!
