Looks like a late 60s early 70s hybrid Sylvania. Good sets.

A Panasonic 27. Says its HDTV ready on the front. Wonder how many consumers were confused by that?

There were HDCRT TVs made some with 4x3 and some with 16x9 aspect ratio CRTs....If it could do a 720 or 1080 scan mode and dot pitch was more or less fine enough you could sell it as a HDTV set...sets that had DTV tuners but we're 480 only were sold with the SDTV logo.

I've got a Sony Wega super fine pitch 16x9 HDCRT that natively scans 1080i, has a built-in DTV/analog tuner and has a HDMI input....

Some of the last CRT sets pushed the tech as far as it could profitably go.

It is interesting both sets clearly have TV tuners, but the back one appears to have the keyboard plugged in....makes me wonder if some schmuck jammed the plug into some oriface on the cabinet to take a picture it that way or if some tin pot computer company or tinkerer added a computer board to that set....The world may never know.

An RCA 27 waiting for the garbage man. Some of those RCA's had PIP but this one doesn't.
