If this ever becomes a major thing and the refresh rate of LCD and 4K OLED cannot be smoothed out, what are the chances of CRTs being produced again? I know this is far fetched of course (there are a heck of alot of CRT monitors still out there).. I could see some Chinese offshoot company producing a slimline widescreen high resolution and DPI CRT for gaming.. Am I crazy for thinking this??

I do not by any means regret squirreling away any premium CRT monitor I could get my hands on. |

Y'all are making me want another LaCie 22" for my desktop, and I don't even game!
Now if we could petition Sony, Barco, or Electrohome to make a 4K CRT projector They would need hella big picture tubes as 9" one barely resolve 1080p. |

Sony did make an HD Wide Screen CRT TV for a while around 2007 or 2008, I have seen them and they were heavy suckers to boot, they were known as the Grand WEGA TVs in the 32" and 36" size CRTs and they even had 3 HDMI ports on the back to boot for full 1080p video from the then new progressive scan DVD Players that had full 1080p Upscaling.
I believe those TVs when they were brand new were around $1,500.00 which was about as much as a brand new Flat Panel TV from that time period of similar size. |
