24 FPS adaptation
Does anyone know about adapting a CRT set to run 24 FPS for video production and filming purpose? Does this require a special monitor or will the vertical oscillator on a standard TV set sync naturally at this speed without adaptation?

You may need to make it sync to an external (supplied) source.
Don't know if 24frame.com will consult with you. |

I'm working with early 2000s era electronics... pretty basic stuff considering but where nearly the entire vertical circuit is on an IC.
Most ICs seem to have a Vertical Trigger input (fed by micro assuming here.) I'm wondering if an NTSC signal is fed into the set with an externally synchronized input fed directly into the vertical IC (with this pin lifted out of circuit) then might the TV essentially become a 24fps monitor... |
