Hi Zeno. Thanks again for chiming in with your help.So far no find online or in my paper version archive .Sorry no offense to you I prefer to get a free PDF copy of it.If available .The same with the Panasonic pop up TV set we've mentioned in the other thread.Low on cash with all whats going on in the world today.

In the meantime .Yesterday I poked around in the Sony set.I'm questioning the CRT since its dim .low brightness .heater is lit .The other question is why there is only 3 wires going to the CRT socket PC board in which is very odd to see.Heater B+ which read 12V and probably the cathode. That was reading low volts. What happen to the grid wires? Didn't see any broken wires from it laying around on the PC board.I think somebody else was in this set and screwed around with it before I cracked it open. After seeing that going on .Maybe the CRT is OK....

pin 2 cathode +- 42 V the lower the brighter.

Thanks Zeno and CrtsRtubular .The 3 wire hook up is what it is.No need to pop your set open CrtsRtubular since Zeno confirmed its only 3 wire system.OK 12 volt heater .It looks like a video output problem since since the voltage was way lower then -42 Volts..I'll look at it over the weekend.
