Better reception...

Hi all!
My boom box at work has awful reception. I'm kinda near a window where I know it would help. The box has the standard single retractable antenna. Any way of removing this and installing something better. I even have trouble receiving the local college stations (6kw atleast).
BTW - standard brick/block building with steel grid ceilings and aluminum drop grids (arrgh!)
Nobody here at work does antenna work, darn!

Natch

Easiest trick I use is to add a length of wire to the end of the existing antenna to increase the overall length of the antenna. It is always better to have the antenna length tuned to the frequency. Wavelength is equal to 1 over frequency (1/F).

Cheers,
Joe

Isn't 1/F time and 1/T frequency?
