2 German Radios

I just picked up these 2 German radios this morning.

One is a Telefunken Opus 55 and the other is a Blaupunkt Salerno. Both made about 1955.

I paid $90.00 total for both.

Thats a great deal!I would like to have one of the Telefunken Opus radios. The seven seems to be the best but I like the 55s too.

It seems to be raining German radios here in New York.

I just picked up this Blaupunkt Sultan 2623.

Made in 1960.

Does anyone know where I can find a schematic for the Telefunken Opus 55?

I have had fun with the German radios and consoles. In the Bonn fleamarket there were MANY of these available a few years ago. I expect to be in Bonn again a couple times in the next year, and will be tempted to drag back more woodcase radios. Nice quality OPTs, and more stereo versions than you would expect.

Curios thing, that I've seen tube radios (not necesarly West-German ones) that had for turnatble (record player) input banana connection, and for reel to reel tape recorder 1st model of D.I.N. connection. I've seen that the "Blaupunkt" Sultan haves 1st model of D.I.N. connection fot turntable input, and for reel to reel input the classic D.I.N. input. B.t.w., the "Blaupunkt" Sultan isn't so Hi.-Fi.: low audio power, one intermediary frequency (if it had double intermediary frequency it would had had two (2) EFB 89 valves (electronic tubes)).
