I can’t even check this ic in any way because I don’t actually have a sort of pin out of the ic.

Is it common for a pnp to92 transistor to have full battery voltage on each end while the center pin I believe is the control voltage.

Caution - while many/most bipolar transistors have a E-B-C (emiiter-base("control") -collector) lead arrangement, some may have a different order. A PNP transistor would have the most positive voltage on the emitter, a few tenths of a volt less on the base, and least positive on the collector. So, you could be looking at a normal functioning PNP with a different pinout.

You need a schematic of what's connected to each pin of the transistor to figure this out.

Hi to all,

@Timmy:
i posted here links to full documentation on the Sinclair MTV1 micro-television; 3x illustrated pdf's:
please upload & use.

http://www.videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=276487

The 3x pdf's are here, on the British forum, post #10:
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=206856

This topic should moved to the "Transistor Portable TV" section, not Vintage (B&W, tube TVs).

complete schematic of the MTV-1 in this post.

if your Sinclair chip is dead, best place to find one is in the UK.
Post a "wanted" add on the UK Vintage forum appropriate section; here:

https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...splay.php?f=28

Yes I have all 3 but I am looking for the deflection IC how do I go about posting a want ad on the site you posted. Unless you have a few of the IC chips I’ll buy from you. I could really use several of these ICs since I have 2 of the mtv1 tvs and they work great but if that chip goes bad it’s worthless. Do I have to register on that site with a name and password.

Hi to all,
Hi Timmy,

i have none of the Sinclair ICs.

Yes, you have to sign up to UK-VRR to post on their forum.
it's free of course.

Sinclair TV were designed & built in England, so it's obviously the best place to hunt for specialized parts.
in your "wanted" post don't forget to mention that you're in the US to take into account postage fees.
An IC or two fit in a padded envelope, so easy to mail.

Best Regards
