I'm fond of pop tunes in German.
Artists such as Ich+Ich, Nena, Christina Stürmer, Glasperlenspiel, and Luxuslärm come to mind

Squirrel boy, you might want to try VLC media player on your newer machine. I've not encountered a non-corrupt file it can't play.

I listen to lots of Japanese music. Yui is my favorite. Then there's quite a bit of Japanese volcaloid music I like. Like hatsune miku. (My avatar) lol. I also like German industrial metal.

I like music in English (I'm a Romanian and Romanian is my native language), Italian, Frech, and even in German in Japanese. And Russian military and communist music.

Some of the alternative rock bands are either in a foreign language or sometimes mix foreign and English. Check out Du Hast by Rammstein (a German metal band...the song is a play on words in German) and Loser by Beck (Suy...un perdidor....I'm a loser baby...so why don't you kill me....)

I enjoy listening to any tunes from around the world but rap crap is the same crap in any language.
I had Mexican neighbors and they play their music most of the time.I enjoy the music part but I dont speak Spanish.I really enjoyed their mellow tunes. They remind me of the old classic country tunes and like Marty Robbins tunes with the guitars. |

Yes. I've been looking for a playable copy of "Morgen" by Ivo Robic for a while now.

Lucio Dalla, beautiful Italian, too bad he died of a heart attack a few years back, the morning after a concert he performed the night before.

Yes and they call it opera
quoting Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (In the movie Amadeus) "Please let it be in German". Ironically and contrary to how it sounds spoken the German language is one of the most beautiful when sung
Die Entfuhrung Aus Dem Serail (The Abduction From a Seraglio) Ten minutes of ghastly scales and arpeggios "Aria Martern aller Arten" The Magic Flute Aria"Queen of the Night" Powerful and intimidating just imagine Your worst nightmare is if this real life bitch is your land lady, banker or mother in-law so wealthy and powerful, She despises you and is ready to step on you like a little bug. My greatest passion is the works of Wagner and yes it comes in German Although I am partial to German I do enjoy Italian the side opera as it goes so well with humor and scandal. Of course one of the finest and probably most popular works would be Carmen sung in French. Too much for a ADD eccentric TV collecting nut to describe in a few paragraphs to do it any justice. Here are sum pieces from Wagner's Ring https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svMHBPed9Bs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8gNEEvYjy0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsHNQuB1Z70 |

I am intrigued by the blending of musical styles from eastern and western cultures. In this clip, Anoushka Shankar (Sitar) and Joshua Bell (Violin) continue a tradition which was pioneered by her father (Ravi Shankar) and Yehudi Menuhin over 50 years ago.

If I'm really stressed out (which is almost every day now), I'll fire up a Zenith or ten and play Enya through my SSTran. Very soothing for when you're mad at the world. A few of her songs are in Gaelic/Latin, but most are English.

Lots of great music from that Gweedore region, but Enya is likely the most famous. Many got their start at Leos tavern.
