PWM power supply
Im making a PWM boost converter power supply for my portable tube radios. The power supply actually works nicely, and I can run the whole radio on a 9v battery. (including D battery for filements).
Problem: the IRF510 doesnt hold out with 90v. Does anyone have a good HV mosfet partnumber? |

Circuit? I would want at least a 200V part for a boost converter. IRF6xx or equivalent.

yea, thats what I figured, but I didnt know of an EXACT part. its a mostfet based boost converter that uses a pulse to fire a coil, and when the transistor shuts off the energy is released from the coil under several volts to several hundred volts depeding on the coil.

Try IRF-740
It is used for line-powered tv sets and such, so I KNOW it can handle the voltage, and power!!
