I fixed another CED player: a Realistic which looks to be nearly a duplicate of the Sears I have. It needed two belts replaced, one for loading the disc, one for moving the arm. It's a direct drive turntable just like the Sears. There were also two gears that weren't lined up correctly so the tray the disc sits in wouldn't raise up high enough to load/unload the disc. I circled it in the pic.
The case was messed up: there were big gashes that appeared to be melted in the top. I filled them and repainted the upper darker part of the case. That metal piece on the front was also bent up. I improved it, but I could only straighten it so much without loosing the writing on it. It's not in perfect condition, but it's better than it was. I think these Realistic players are somewhat rare, I haven't seen too many of them. Now I have 3/5 of my CED players working, I'd have 4 going if I could find a stylus for my second SFT100. But next I have to change a fuel pump in my Lincoln.
