Recycling man strikes again -- Panasonic AG1980

Just passing by the e-waste zone at work, and spotted a Panasonic AG1980 just a sittin' there. Walked on by, but had to come back a few minutes later and grab it. I'm moving, and found a box of old tapes that I need to blow onto DVDs -- figuring this will be the deck to do it with.

Guessing it came from some cardiac imaging equipment that got upgraded. Oh well, another lost case saved from the junk pile. Did I do good?

Panasonic AG-1830, AG-1960, AG-1970, or AG-1980? Which one is the most reliable to you?

I worked on that whole generation of machines in a shop. AG1960 was the least problematic
Long as you didn't jam the load tray, that gear train was a chore to resync.

Chore? It's more than a chore, it's a test of mind over machine!
