Who would bother to get a 10" set converted to 12". It shouldn't have cost that much, both CRT's had the same deflection angle.
My uncle had the same model GE. After the second 10" CRT went bad, he had it converted to a 16". Evidently the yoke and flyback had to be changed and the sweep circuit reworked. He claimed it never worked right.
The various TV repair magazines at the time showed the conversion kits available including the sweep components and a plastic mask and safety lens.
