JCP tv doing some odd things.

So I got this in for repairs and have no idea where to start. This tv has no high voltage adjustments and I can not find any vert control at all. Here is a youtube link to the crazy wave issue this thing has.

Bad main filter cap.

Easy troubleshooting technique.........
Buy the following.
1) bag of clip leads
1) 80mfd or 100mfd @450V electrolytic cap.
1) 470mfd @ 450V " "
Most caps open.
In a tube or hybrid set use the 80 @450V
Put in parallel with old cap matching - to - & + to +
If it clears up or gets better you got it. Install the proper value.
Hybrids will also have a 24V line. Use the 470mfd the same way on the
cap section that is rated at 50V usually.

Solid state sets often just use one main cap. Use the 470mfd unless
that is way off.

You MUST discharge the cap between tests !!!!!!!!!!
Just short it out. Big spark but no harm done.
If you dont you may hook a cap charged to 300V onto a line thats 24V
& blow some parts.
You can use this test in other parts of a set. Just make sure the value is
close & unplug the set while hooking / unhooking the test cap.
