Stewart Warner 9100-A on Seattle CL

You don't see one of these every day -- a 1949 Stewart Warner 9100-A:

https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/a...478959859.html

The Riders manual is available from ETF:

http://earlytelevision.org/pdf/stewa...100-rider3.pdf

10-inch CRT, four IF stages, AGC, DC restoration -- what's not to like?

Riders shows this model with a stand, which makes the doors less weird. (Something about a tabletop set with doors just seems wrong, although I'm not sure why.)

No, I don't have room, so somebody else should buy it!

Now that IS indeed an unusual set ; A power transformer is used , and yet they make very liberal use of 35 and 50 volt heater type tubes , the horizontal output is 3 50B5 tubes in parallel , two 35L6 tubes for the HV osc , and selenium rectifiers despite the power transformer (maybe the designer had a patent dislike for the 5U4 ?)

If it wasn't at the opposite side of the country from me I'd consider adding it to my meager collection

That would make a good parts set for the mirror in lid version or a good resto candidate in its own right.

That's what I was thinking. Don't you need that metal control plate and some knobs for yours?

Yes, but I have a lead on the exact model locally.
