That's the model that won back the favor of the repair crowd. The 56&57 model upright donut chassis were dogs to work on.

Thats the same basic chassis that ran into the '70s & the end of

I may have the same model! Bought it at the 2009 ETF convention. I thought it would replace a 16C21 I had owned as a teenager, which was wonderful for DXing on the low band (saw Spokane on it watching from Detroit). Alas, my 17B20 does not have the cascode tuner that my other set had, the channel knob broke, and a wire came loose inside when I was trying to fix it.
