Red Green makes an electric car!

In case you don't know, the Red Green Show ran on CBC in Canada and PBS in the states for many years. One of the segments was Handy Man's Corner where Red cobbled together all sorts of funny projects. Here is his take on electric cars:

Perhaps his "biggest" vehicle project, he hacks up a 1975 GM T6H-5307N bus, ex-Toronto Transit Commission 8041:

^ You like K-cars huh? That's unexpected of just about everyone, but cool. They're pretty neat, I still see them around in road salt-laden NS ever now and then. I prefer the 1981-84 models though.

They run around in salt state ny and they look good, no smoke, and the owners are happy with them..... If I get the chance it get one one day I may just do it....... Not many other cars from those years that have almost no rust..... Not many half that age either....

Just watched the AWD K-car video you linked to. Hey, it's a mini-Lincoln! Four-door hardtop with suicide doors. Love the part where he starts it, haha.

Yah.... he did make a AWD 4WS mini-Lincoln with suicide doors didn't he....

Maybe we can get Sandy to change his picture.......

If he turned the rear wheels a little more he could have made it drive in circles....

He must get a really good deal on duct tape...

Heck, duct-tape makers are probably paying him to use the stuff. What better PR can they get?

Haha, just noticed the part about Sandy's pic.

Scratch that thought; this one's mine, at least for now.

There is another one where he turns a Dodge Mirada into a duck hunter's blind

Then the one where he makes a Ford Granada into a greenhouse - hilarious

One of the funniest things on TV, of its course from Canada - eh

He even hacked up the old Possum Van, so I guess with him, anything goes. Not much of a preservationist unfortunately.

I really like that 2-ended K-car. When I was a kid parades were made special by a rig a local outfit used to run to promote their business. It was a pair of 66 Chevy pickups welded together, sharing a bed. It had 2 drivers and they could do some really cool turns (at least to a 10 year old!)
