howdy, anybody in Iowa?

Howdy everybody...

I'm essentially here to read and learn. I've been browsing these forums for some time now just enjoying the conversation and trying to apply the advice I've read here to the many pieces of electronic equiptment I've collected in the last few years. I have a little of everything, tube radios, a 1967 "roundie" Magnavox console, a couple big Zenith and RCA stereo consoles, and as of today a working Philco Predicta. On top of all that, I've got a storage unit full of stuff my mother would kill me if she knew I bought, haha.

At this point I know some very basic things, and would like to meet some other people who share my interest in preserving older things, not just electronics. If theres anybody living near Iowa who wouldn't mind letting me watch them fix a TV, or might even help me fix some of my older sets, I'd really appriciate the opportunity....
