FREE 1949 Hoffman Easy View TV

I have a 1949 Hoffman Easy View TV.... the cabinet is in very good shape. It has 2 doors which close over the screen. The insides look good...I clearly am not technically savvy... there are lots of tubes etc... I do not know if it works. There is a hole next to the round screen which apparently was the place where the AM/FM radio numbers appeared on a rectangular "dial". The "dial" is missing.

If ANYONE wants it... PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I do not want to send it to a dump if someone wants it.

I am south of Los Angeles... will take it to you (or meet you some place) to give it to you... if you are out of the area, sorry, shipping is on you.

Please message me at "johnA@ashtoncolvin.com" if you are interested in having it.
Again... I don't want to send to the dump something that has lasted 60 years looking for a home.

If no one else can get it I could probably come get it. I don't have any room but don't want to see it get tossed.

Guessing it's this model?

1949 Hoffman TV

Yes... that is it. The only thing that I can see that is missing is that vertical "dial" on the front... I read somewhere that it is/was the place to find the AM/FM radio frequencies.

I hope you want it. If so, where are you located? How can we meet for me to give it to you? I live in Huntington Beach. You?

Again, I would hate for it to end up in a dump some place... I know that I won't be working on it... no knowledge of electronics beyond the On/Off switches.

Please use my email to reply...

Thanks

John

Cool! Glad you have the preservation instinct. It'll get a new home

Thanks for the rescue Eric. I shlep out of my way for saving these treasures too. Then someone sees it at my place and it has a new home

That looks like a Pilot TV-125 with the vertical dial for radio also.
