Newcomb TR1625 transcription player from '74

Here's a tube type Newcomb TR1625 record player/PA that I recently obtained. This unit will play the big 16" records and uses a PP-6V6 amp. As hard as it is to believe, this was made in '74 and I base that on date codes on the speaker, tubes, and motor. Also, notice the hacked in filter can in the bottom of the cabinet. I'm sure they have it wired across the dud section in the original can; which, is a big no-no. I don't know when Newcomb stopped making tube stuff; but, this has to be towards the end. I think the company went belly up in the early '80's.

Some of it from ebay and a few things I've found locally.
