Sencore VA62
I have a chance to pick up a Sencore VA62 for $40. How useful is this for aligning antique B&W tv's? I'll plan on getting the EEPROM update if it is still available.

It only outputs a fixed frequency - no sweep. So you can use it to peak individual coils but not to view the overall response. I think it's more useful as a pattern generator and some of the other functions like ringing a flyback than for alignments.

Well, I got a VA62 for $20!
Does anybody know who to contact for the EEPROM mod? |

Excellent deal!
The man who made the EPROM modifications had his discussion in this same forum if I remember right, his name here may be "Dave S"; do a Google search for "va-62 site:videokarma.org" and it should come up.

I'm the guy that did the VA62 EPROM mod. Yes I can still supply the original VA62 EPROM or a new version that is user friendly for the VA62A. I need to make a post describing it. I just responded to Chris's PM. Was out of town with no net access for a bit.

Dave, I got your initial (and forum name) wrong, I apologize. My VA62 is working well with your EPROM, thanks again.
