14RP4 CRT Question

My tube looks aluminized but it has a single magnet ion trap on it. I've seen several pictures of other TVs with this tube and they all seem to have the same ion trap attached to the neck. I thought aluminized tubes didn't need ion traps.

Some early aluminized CRTs still needed a trap magnet.
14RP4 is not aluminized - 14RP4A is. They probably used the same gun in both.
