I went to Boy's Tech. Back when they could get away with Gender restriction.
There also was a Girl's Tech. They taught subjects that were more suited to the female population.
MSOE still effectively gets away with it...when I was there I could count the women enrolled in the EE ciriculum on one hand, and the nursing school in a separate building had it the other way around... I think about half of the guys in nursing were init to be surrounded by women.

On the same note, I never took up typing in high school. A friend said he took it to meet girls in HS.
Little did we know, just about everyone can use typing skills, because of the computer age.

Have you ever had the chance to ride a "Pullman" car or to eat at a dining car that had meals coocked on board?

Yes, quite a bit back in the 40s, 50s, and early 60s. They were all quite acceptable.

No. It had small compartments that held three people in the day. At night
the seats got rearranged and there was an overhead pull down bed for three
people. It had a teensy bathroom. Really teensy.
