weekend find

Just picked this one up locally this weekend, it's made by emerson. All complete.

Interesting radio! Looks like those are faux books on either side and it's supposed to sit in a bookcase ?

I saw the Craigslist ad for that. From the photos from the original ad, it looked like the chassis wasn't original to the cabinet, does it have a model number on it? A neat little radio, though...

leadlike, they had several variations of this radio, as seen in the pics below. I'm unsure how long it was in production, hard to find info on it. Most say "history of nations" on the book ends, but mine says "world of entertainment" The first one pictured below is the same chassis as mine, except somebody drilled thru it and stuck a toggle switch in there.
On mine, the back has the speaker grillcloth on it, and the built in antenna fastens on a bracket thats mounted on the chassis. I'll put more pics up during the teardown.
