Califone "new yorker" classroom record player

I picked up this rather beat up Rheem-Califone "New Yorker" tube type classroom phonograph at the flea market for $5. It uses a transformerless two tube (12AV6 and 50L6) amp with either a silicon diode or selenium rectifier (have not pulled the amp, yet). The case is dirty and the covering needs to be re-glued in one spot. Even though it's beat up, it will still play a record. Of course, it needs a new cartridge (Astatic 81T) and the usual mechanical overhaul. I should be able to tell when it was made once I open it up and look for date codes; but, I'm guessing this to be from the early '60's.
