TR-001 Service Manual
Does anybody have a paper or digital copy of this service manual? I bought it on microfiche last year, but it seems to be impossible to get it printed out to paper because this technology is considered obsolete in the commercial copy market.
At the very least, I could use the parts list. Thanks. |

Panasonic went microfiche after 1978. They had contracts with a company to convert all of their service data to microfiche. In 1986, they converted backto paper, but only for current (new) stuff. We had paper manuals up to '74, microfiche for '74-85, and some paper stuff. Oddly, Quasar stayed with the paper manuals to the end. I probably have the fiche for the TR-001, and it's likely on a fiche with 2 or 3 other models, and updated. Our paper manuals went to the dumpster in 2000 or so - too much space taken up for so few sets serviced, and we had Sams for most of them.
I hated it when you had to buy the fiche to get a part number - Panasonic parts wouldn't look up the part for you - too labor intensive, I imagine. Only when the bigger distributors came along did they freely look up part numbers for you. We had a big binder full of commonly needed parts and their part numbers. Lemme look on Monday (I'm tied up tomorrow with stuff) and I'll post/PM as appropriate. Cheers,

I reread your OP. Go to any university library - they have viewer printers and can print. We have two university libraries here, and one will print for you at 50 cents a page, and the other will let you print for 35 cents a page, with 10 page minimum.
Any large city library will also have fiche capability - viewers and printers. Some foreign auto dealerships may also be able to print - I've got a whole bunch of Blaupunkt radio microfiche with parts lists for BWM, Mercedes and VW. Cheers,

I have a microfiche reader/printer
Quote:
I could print off a copy for you if you can't find one, you'd just have to send the microfiche to me, obviously... |

I not a fan of microfiche myself.
I have the CT-101 color set service manual in paper here .I might have the tr-001 paper copy somewhere here too.God knows where that is. You probably can put a request on freeservicemanuals.net or elektrotanya.com They probably can upload it for you if they have it. The guys and gal are great over there. They saved me of alot of headaches looking for manuals and alot money too. Footnote ;I just put a request on freeservicemanuals.net for you a moment ago.I will give them a day or two to find one if they have it. |
