De Forest Audion DV2
I've found some of these early tubes in a box and I'd like to know more about them. I've asked in a UK forum but since they are from the USA I thought I might get a better response here.
I found 4 of them in total. One is in its original metal can, the other 3 are loose. One of the loose ones is marked "no good" and it rattles when shaken. |

That's a neat find! Especially with the metal can. The DV2 is similar to the 01A tube.
Check out this website: http://www.bill01a.com/articles/df-dv-dl.htm It has a nice history of the DeForest DV and DL tubes. Judging from the white base and short pins, I'd say you have the 1925 version. |

Thanks for the info. I think I bought them in an antiques shop somewhere in upstate NY in the mid 1990s. They've been hidden away for years and I've just found them again. Probably paid next to nothing for them but I suspect they are now worth a few $$$.

I don't see any DV2s on ebay, but there are a couple DV3s with a BIN of over $65 each!

Even a dud tube like this is worth money!
