Antique radio at civil rights landmark


Old radio in the bookcase on the left. And on the right, a portable record player (Emerson?) atop what looks like a console.

That's Silvertone, 1946 or 47 I think. I'll see if I can fetch a model number, but I actually had this set when I was a kid. It's an AA6 with a somewhat unusual tube complement and a 7-watt 120 volt dial lamp.

They also had the choke and output transformer mounted on the speaker.
The sets I seen had the normal AA6 tube complement. IIRC, one model had a 14R7 locktal used. Not that common of a tube.
