Antique radio at civil rights landmark
Old radio in the bookcase on the left. And on the right, a portable record player (Emerson?) atop what looks like a console. Montclair’s Israel Crane House and Historic YWCA from the New York Times http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/21/ny...k-history.html

That's Silvertone, 1946 or 47 I think. I'll see if I can fetch a model number, but I actually had this set when I was a kid. It's an AA6 with a somewhat unusual tube complement and a 7-watt 120 volt dial lamp.

The sets I seen had the normal AA6 tube complement. IIRC, one model had a 14R7 locktal used. Not that common of a tube. Made by Arvin. |
