Looking for Tele-tone radio info.
Anybody seen one of these? It's a Tele-tone Model 99 AM clock radio. I can't find any information about it. It's not in Sams index, though it does seem to resemble a Stromberg-Carlson C-3 (I don't have the Sams folder for that). I once saw a picture of a white Model 99 on e-pay several years ago, but that is the only other one I have ever seen.

Yes, it certainly does resemble the C-3. Sams folder is on my Stromberg page: http://www.audiophool.cjb.net/MadeInRoch.html

Boy, that is a lot more pretty than my C-3, which is a weird green color with dark gold accents. Does the TeleTone have a schematic glued to the bottom of the cabinet like the C-3's?

No tube chart or schematic. I made my own tube chart on a note card, before I wrote the tube numbers on the chasis with a Sharpie ultra-fine point marker. I've gotten into the habit of doing that with all my tube stuff (If I need to remove the ink, alcohol and q-tips does the trick). I bought this radio several years ago in a thrift shop. Because it is in such good shape, I thought it was a repro. until I saw the tubes through the back panel. The tubes are the original "Tele-tone" marked tubes. I think the dates on them are 1960. Curious to know if there was a merger between S-C and T-T.
